I loved art at school but life got in the way, somehow. Or, more accurately, I didn’t give myself permission to have so much fun.

Now, 30 years on, I’ve picked up my paintbrushes and under the light touch guidance of the amazing Sue Kaplan. I’m drawing, painting, sculpting and generally making merry.

Society pushes us to be singularly forward focused and efficient in some externally defined way. Art making asks for presence. I love combining both.
